PROGRAMME

DAY 1 - Welcome to La Gallura
Choose one of the boutique hotels selected for you by Miss Carrington in Sant’ Antonio di Gallura or Arzachena. These places are absolutely faithful to traditional Sardinian style in their decor, blending in with the natural stone of La Gallura and set amid luxuriant vegetation.

DAY 2 - Excursion to Arzachena
Today starts with a visit to some archaeological sites: you can choose either a trek to Mont Pino, to Costa Paradiso and Tinnara, enjoying views of the Mediterranean scrubland and rocky landscape, or you can explore the archaeological heritage of Arzachena, rich in archaeological remains from the nuragic and pre-nuragic period. In Arzachena, the relics of the nuraghic period (end of the 4th century to the beginning of the 3rd century BC) are original and typical of this area, and are characterised by peculiarities found in the construction of necropoli, such as ‘Li Muri’. Next, you will see the Nuraghe Albucciu, built into the side of a granite massif and close by, the complex called ‘Malchittu’, dating from the 16th and 14th centuries BC (middle Bronze age). Other tombs of the ‘Giants’ are evident elsewhere in the area; simply choose one of the paths that will lead you to them! At the end of the day, have a relaxing swim in the clear waters of the Costa Smeralda or unwind in the spa!

DAY 3 - Visit to Tempio Pausania
Today we offer you an interesting trip to Lake Liscia and Mount Limbara (1362m). You will enjoy an amazing panoramic view over unspoilt scenery, a granite landscape dotted with numerous types of plants such as redwoods and heather and a nesting ground for eagles. The view looks down over Tempio, the capital of la Gallura and famous for its cork products. It is worth having a look around its historic old town with its granite buildings. Try out some of the local dishes before taking a stroll out to the luxurious natural Rinnagiu Springs, renowned for their healing properties.

DAY 4 - La Maddalena archipelago
Leaving behind Sant’Antonio di Gallura, your next stop is Conca Verde, and the elegance and originality of a designer hotel right on the water’s edge. You will visit the stunning National Park of L’Archipel de la Maddalena, a string of little islands lying in clear turquoise water with pretty little coves and beaches of white and curiously pink sand. One such is Budelli: just beautiful!
On the Ile de Caprera, you may wish to pay a visit to the museum dedicated to that political and historic figure, Garibaldi.

DAY 5 - La Costa Smeralda
A walk that takes you into the heart of VIP paradise : among the fine villas and the celebrity bars, you’ll find an oasis in the middle of the rocks and the sand where you can really enjoy the crystal waters of the Mediterranean sea. Start with a visit to Baija Sardinia and a coffee in the central square, lined with numerous small shops. Tucked away in a cove is Poltu Quatu, where you can sample the local gastronomy any one of the superb restaurants before taking a stroll around Porto Cervo, a luxurious resort frequented by the stars!

DAY 6 - Excursion to Capo Testa
Capo Testa is a small peninsula near Santa Teresa di Gallura with views over the strait of Bonifacio and out towards Corsica. The cape is made up of granite rocks, eroded by the wind. It is one of the most beautiful sights not only in la Gallura, but in the whole of Sardinia. You can admire the ancient Roman granite quarries and the nearby archaeological sites of Lu Brandali and Longosardo. Enjoy an aperitif by the seashore while watching the sun go down.

DAY 7 - End of the trip
Indulge in one last spa treatment…..unless you decide to stay a bit longer!
